All parents and caregivers can be part of school council whether voting members or volunteers with our committees. We want to hear your thoughts, concerns and experiences to help build our school community. Nominations must be received by October 3rd.

VOLUNTEER
School Council helps in many areas of the school. To get involved in any listed below, email nss.school.council@gmail.com. It’s a great way to connect with other parents, get to know the school better, and make a meaningful impact on our students’ experience.
Areas of Interest
- Social – creating opportunities to meet other parents in the Northern community
- Funding – raising and distributing funds to teachers and students to support student success
- Communications – keeping parents connected through our website, email, and social media
- Learning Differences – resources and community for families with special education needs (gifted, autism, ADHD, etc)
- Education – looking at changes in education policy that impact student success
- Safety – ways to address safety concerns within the Northern community
